Having spent my childhood years in a rural area meant I was exposed to nature, the plants and animals that grew on it and my grandparents who cultivated and lived off the land. Eating nutritious, organic meals was the norm and with it came good health, vitality and wellbeing. The odd injury or illness was readily and efficiently treated by assisting the body’s innate ability to heal.

The handed down ancient knowledge from my grandparents, parents and keen observation of how nature worked shaped my philosophy and approach to healthcare.

My love affair with medicine started when I was three, as it was then that I pronounced to my mother that I wanted to be a doctor. My inquisitiveness began then and graduated into formal studies later.

A new medical college in homeopathic medicine was established in 1989 and I was enrolled in this first intake class of 1989. It was a comprehensive 5 year course with an additional internship year covering conventional western medicine as in any other medical school but in addition homeopathy, naturopathy, phytotherapy, nutrition and acupuncture. This was followed by further studies in Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture and several other studies and courses.
